Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment 0.025 % and 0.5 %, imported in 15 grams, 80 grams and 454 grams, belongs to a class of drugs called Corticosteroids. It is a prescription medication used to treat the symptoms of topical inflammatory dermatoses, oral inflammatory or ulcerative lesions. The applicable subheading for the Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment in dosage form will be 3004.32.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other, containing hormones or other products of heading 2937: Containing corticosteroid hormones, their derivatives, or structural analogues.” The rate of duty will be free.
