Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride is a vasoconstrictor. It is indicated for the topical treatment of persistent facial erythema associated with rosacea in adults. It is also used for the temporary relief of nasal congestion caused by allergies or the common cold. The applicable subheading for the Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride in bulk powder form will be 2933.29.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Heterocyclic compounds with nitrogen hetero-atom(s) only: Compounds containing an unfused imidazole ring (whether or not hydrogenated) in the structure: Other: Aromatic or modified aromatic: Other: Drugs.” Pursuant to General Note 13, HTSUS, the rate of duty will be free.
