Acetaminophen USP is also known as Paracetamol (INN) and belongs to a class of drugs called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretic (fever reducers). The applicable subheading for the Acetaminophen USP in bulk from will be 2924.29.6210, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Cyclic amides (including cyclic carbamates) and their derivatives; salts thereof: Other: Aromatic: Other: Drugs: Other: Acetaminophen.” The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. Currently, Acetaminophen and Paracetamol are not listed in the Pharmaceutical Appendix to the Tariff Schedule. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
