The subject product, Doxycycline Tablets, is a medicinal preparation containing Doxycycline, an antibiotic, as the active ingredient. It will be imported in tablet form in dosages of 50 mg, 75 mg 100 mg and 150 mg. Doxycycline is indicated for the treatment of Rocky Mountain spotted fever, typhus fever, Q fever, rickettsialpox and tick fevers. The applicable subheading for Doxycycline Tablets in dosage form will be 3004.20.0060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Medicaments…consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses (including those in the form of transdermal administration systems) or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other, containing antibiotics: Other: Other."
