The item under consideration has been identified as two models of electric vehicle, both as pictured as pick-up trucks, one (1) two-door model and one (1) four-door model. In your request you did not provide any information concerning Gross Vehicle Weight (GVWR), which is not a factor when classifying vehicles with electric propulsion. However, you did state that both vehicles are not designed to go over 25 mph. The applicable subheading for both electric pick-ups will be 8704.90.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Motor vehicles for the transport of goods: Other”. The rate of duty will be 25%. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
