The subject product, Tizanidine Hydrochloride capsules, is a medicinal preparation containing Tizanidine Hydrochloride, a central alpha2-adrenergic agonist, as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the management of spasticity and will be imported in dosages of 2 mg, 4 mg and 6 mg in capsule form. The applicable subheading for the Tizanidine Hydrochloride capsules in dosage form will be 3004.90.9240, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Medicaments primarily affecting the central nervous system: Other.” The rate of duty will be free.
