Ross Road Morrison, CO 80465 RE: The tariff classification of a necklace with a pendant from China. Dear Ms. Auell: In your letter dated May 23, 2016, you requested a tariff classification ruling. A photograph was submitted. The merchandise concerned is identified as the “Guitar Pendant for Jade River Designs.” The item as depicted in the photograph appears to be a beaded necklace with a guitar shaped pendant. The necklace and pendant are made of zinc metal. This item can be worn by both men and women. The applicable subheading for the guitar pendant necklace will be 7117.19.9000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Imitation Jewelry: Of base metal, whether or not plated with precious metal: Other: Other: Other.” The rate of duty will be 11% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
