Your submission refers to the product at issue as Chromium Oxide Thermal Spray Powder and indicates that it can be used for flame spraying, high velocity oxy fuel spraying, atmospheric plasma spraying, and vacuum plasma spraying. You have stated that this product is composed of 99% chromium oxide. The applicable subheading for chromium oxide powder will be 2819.90.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Chromium oxides and hydroxides: Other. The rate of duty will be 3.7 percent ad valorem. This merchandise may be subject to the requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), which are administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
