The merchandise in question is a motor actuator (Part # 084053012). This device is used to tilt the glass of the rear view mirror horizontally and vertically from the interior of the vehicle. The actuator incorporates two small DC brushless single-phase electric motors in a plastic injection-molded housing. The actuator utilizes a screw drive mechanism and is equipped with a thermal protection and electromagnetic noise suppression features. The maximum output of the motors is 18.65 Watts. The applicable subheading for the actuator (Part # 084053012) will be 8501.10.6040, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "other electric motors, of an output of 18.65 watts or more but not exceeding 37.5 watts: DC: Brushless”. The general rate of duty will be 2.8 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
