You have submitted photographs of an item you call a waist trimmer. The waist trimmer is made up of neoprene rubber that has knit textile fabric laminated on the outer and skin-side surfaces; this construction is considered a textile fabric for tariff purposes. The waist trimmer is held closed by hook-and-loop strips sewn to the end. You state that the neoprene will cause perspiration to increase around the waist during exercise which may help with weight loss. The waist trimmer measures 40 inches by 8 inches with the word “Bodynomics” heat sealed onto the fabric. The applicable subheading for the Bodynomics waist trimmer will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
