Las Vegas, NV 89147 RE: The tariff classification of aluminum pads from China Dear Mr. Koo: In your letter dated March 17, 2014, you requested a tariff classification ruling. A sample of the subject pad was provided for our review. The article under consideration is described in your letter as an aluminum pad that measures approximately 17 inches in length by 5 inches in width. You indicated that the imported aluminum pad will be attached to a piece of microfiber pad for cleaning floors. After the aluminum pad is imported, three pieces of plastic that are designed to adjust the height of the pad to the floor will be attached to the aluminum pad. The applicable subheading for the aluminum pad will be 7616.99.5090, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other articles of aluminum, other, other, other, other, other, other. The rate of duty will be 2.5 percent ad valorem. The merchandise in question may be subject to antidumping duties or countervailing duties.
