Dear Ms. Rowe: In your letter dated June 14, 2013, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample is being returned to you, as requested. Style “Screwing Up SW408” is a pair of women’s calf length socks. The socks are composed of 55% cotton, 43% nylon, and 2% spandex. They are sewn at the toe and feature a 1”elasticized top. The applicable subheading for Style “Screwing Up SW408” will be 6115.95.9000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for pantyhose, tights, stockings, socks and other hosiery, including stockings for varicose veins, and footwear without applied soles, knitted or crocheted, other, of cotton, other. The rate of duty will be 13.5%. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
