Dear Ms. Swanson: In your letter dated March 26, 2012, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample will be returned to you. The submitted sample is a bib-style apron composed of 100% cotton woven fabric. The apron covers the torso and reaches the knees. The garment features two textile straps at the neck and at the waist which enable the apron to be tied. The garment also features a 2 inch ruffle at the bottom of the apron with two front pockets below the waist. The applicable subheading for the apron will be 6211.42.0081, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for track suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments; other garments, women’s or girls’: of cotton, other. The rate of duty will be 8% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
