Product description
You submitted an assortment of three versions of a product called Poly-Twist®. They are what is commonly referred to as twist ties, used to close plastic bags. Each tie is 4-5 mm in width and the samples are 4 inches in length. Each twist tie is made of a man-made fiber monofilament (polyolefin) measuring not over 1 mm in diameter; the monofilament meets the dimensional requirements of textile yarn contained in Section XI, Legal Note 1(g), Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS). In each of the samples, it is the monofilament that allows the twist tie to be bent and twisted. In two of the ties, Poly-Twist All Plastic Spool Tie and Poly-Twist Cut Tie, the monofilament is covered via lamination in a styrenic plastic, dyed in various colors to match the customer’s requirements. In the third sample, Poly-Twist Plastic/Paper Spool Tie, the monofilament is laminated on one side by the styrenic plastic and on the other by Kraft paper. Your specification sheet indicates the spooled items will be in lengths of 2000 and 5000 feet, while the cut version will be in lengths of 3-1/2” to 12”, with longer lengths available upon request.
