In your letter you suggest classification under subheading 9505.90.6000 Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for festive, carnival or other entertainment articles. However, lanterns are specifically provided for under subheading 8513.10.40, HTSUS.

Dear Mr. Pearce: In your letter dated March 18, 2011, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, CVS Pharmacy. The merchandise under consideration consists of two lanterns. Samples of the lanterns were submitted with your ruling request and will be returned to you. The submitted samples are identified as Style # JMTD006, a designation given to both lanterns.
