Dear Ms. Stanczak: In your letter dated January 25, 2011 you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, the sample will be returned to you. The submitted sample, Style CS200C, “Short with Pointelle” is a pair of girl’s shorts constructed of acrylic knit fabric. The shorts feature a rib-knit waistband and pointelle stitching above the rib-knit bottom. The applicable subheading for Style CS200C will be 6104.63.2060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for women’s or girls’ shorts, knitted or crocheted: of synthetic fibers: other: other: girls’. The rate of duty will be 28.2 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
