A product data sheet and process flow chart accompanied your letter. Additional information was submitted via email on December 9, 2010. The product is described as a creamy white, homogeneous puree composed of 100 percent pear. It is prepared by washing and crushing pears, cooking, pitting, sieving, evaporating and concentrating to 30-32 Brix, sterilizing, cooling and packing in aseptic bags in drums for industrial use. In your letter, you suggest a tariff classification of 2009.80.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), the provision for pear juice. The rate of duty will be 12 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
