Dear Mr. Bresnihan: In your letter dated July 13, 2010, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client Senior Operations, LLC. Photos and a description were included with your request. The article is a spherical bearing, part number MSTLG27DE which is a non-rotational, two piece bearing. The bearing is designed to be installed between the engine and its supports in order to facilitate alignment during installation of the engine. Once installed, the structure is tightened and becomes rigid. The bearing is not directly related to the operation of the engine itself.
