Dear Ms. Tobar: In your letter dated March 2, 2010, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample will be returned to you. Style TU-BIS: (Style 00CHQA Art. 00GSF) is a scarf made of knit 100 percent cotton fabric. The scarf is constructed of two tubular pieces of fabric that slips over the head and is worn around the neck. The applicable subheading for scarf, Style TU-BIS: (Style 00CHQA Art. 00GSF) will be 6117.10.6010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for "Other made up clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted…Shawls, scarves, mufflers, mantillas, veils and the like: Other, Of cotton." The duty rate will be 9.5 percent ad valorem.       Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
