The first product, Losartan Hydrochlorothiazide, imported in tablet form, combines an angiotensin II receptor (type AT1) antagonist and a diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide. It is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. The second product, Losartan Potassium, imported in tablet from, is an angiotensin II receptor (type AT1) antagonist. It is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. The applicable subheading for the Losartan Hydrochlorothiazide tablets and Losartan Potassium tablets in dosage form will be 3004.90.9120, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Cardiovascular medicaments.” The rate of duty will be free.
