Li Marubeni America Corporation 375 Lexington Ave., 6th Floor New York, NY 10017 RE: The tariff classification of 4-Benzyloxyphenyl-4’-hydroxyphenyl sulfone (CAS 63134-33-8) from China Dear Ms. Li: In your letter dated February 8, 2010, on behalf of your client Marubeni Specialty Chemical Inc., you requested a tariff classification ruling for 4-Benzyloxyphenyl-4’-hydroxyphenyl sulfone which you have stated will be used as a developer for heat sensitive paper. The applicable subheading will be 2930.90.2900, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Organo-sulfur compounds: Other: Aromatic: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
