A description, photo and literature were included with your request. The item in question is a Mini Checkmate® Jogger, model 6515-009-A. It consists of a base with an electromagnetic vibratory motor which is adjustable via a rheostat. Above the base is a small bin, measuring approximately 2 inches by 7 inches and three inches in depth. Papers, typically deposited checks at a bank, are placed in the bin and the vibration of the machine is intended to shake, or jog, the papers into an orderly pile.

Dear Mr. Keller: In your letter dated January 8, 2010 you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, FMC Technologies, Inc. A description, photo and literature were included with your request. The item in question is a Mini Checkmate® Jogger, model 6515-009-A. It consists of a base with an electromagnetic vibratory motor which is adjustable via a rheostat. Above the base is a small bin, measuring approximately 2 inches by 7 inches and three inches in depth. Papers, typically deposited checks at a bank, are placed in the bin and the vibration of the machine is intended to shake, or jog, the papers into an orderly pile.
