Dear Mr. Ashear: In your letter dated May 8, 2009, you requested a classification ruling. The sample submitted will be returned as per your request. The submitted sample, Style FB39A601, is a boy’s string-knit glove constructed of 83% acrylic, 16% polyester and 1% spandex knitted fabric. The glove features a 1-1/2 inch hemmed ribbed knit cuff. You state that the glove will be available in several colors. The applicable subheading for Style FB39A601 will be 6116.93.8800, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Gloves, mittens and mitts, knitted or crocheted: Other: Of synthetic fibers: Other: Other: Without fourchettes. The duty rate will be 18.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
