Dear Mr. Ching: In your letter dated April 29, 2009, you requested a classification ruling. Your sample is being returned as requested. The submitted sample, style 4248, is a woman’s sweater that is constructed from 100% acrylic novelty knit fabric. The outer surface of the fabric measures less than 9 stitches per 2 centimeters in the direction that the stitches were formed. The garment extends to the upper thigh area and features a ribbed collar, short straight ribbed sleeves, a full front opening with a 6 button ribbed placket, 2 front patch pockets with a ribbed finish, and a ribbed bottom.
