The subject product, Chlorothalonil Technical, also known as tetrachloroisophthalonitrile, is a broad spectrum, non-systemic fungicide. The applicable subheading for the Chlorothalonil Technical will be 2926.90.2100, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Nitrile-function compounds: Other: Aromatic: Other: Pesticides: Fungicides.” The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. This product may be subject to the requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), which are administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Pesticide Programs.
