The subject product, Allyl chloroglyoxylate, also known as Acetic acid, 2-chloro-2-oxo-, 2-propen-1-yl ester, is an ester of an acyclic polycarboxylic acid halide. Allyl chloroglyoxylate, imported in bulk, is indicated for use as a pharmaceutical intermediate. The applicable subheading for Allyl chloroglyoxylate will be 2917.19.7050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Acyclic polycarboxylic acids, their anhydrides, halides, peroxides, peroxyacids and their derivatives: Other: Other: Other… Other. The rate of duty will be 4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
