Product description
As requested, your sample is being returned to you. The submitted sample, style 6902, is a woman’s sweater with a cable knit front panel and a jersey back panel. You have indicated that the garment is constructed from 97.3% acrylic, 1.7% polyester, and 1% metallic knit fabric. The outer surface of the garment measures nine or fewer stitches per two centimeters in the direction the stitches were formed. The garment extends from the shoulders to the upper thigh area. The garment features a v-shaped front neckline, long sleeves with rib knit cuffs, and a rib knit garment bottom. In order to classify this sample we have sent it to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection laboratory. The laboratory has determined that the garment is composed wholly of metallic yarn. The laboratory has reported that the fabric is made from one 12 ply yarn. The 12 ply metallic yarn is made of a 10 ply black staple yarn (96.2% by weight) and a 2 ply metallic filament yarn (3.8% by weight). The 10 ply staple yarn is wholly of acrylic and is made by twisting five 2 ply yarns with each other. The 2 ply metallic yarn is made from a single ply clear multi-filament polyester yarn (65.5% by weight) twisted with a single ply mylar type metalized yarn (34.5% by weight). The 12 ply metallic yarn is made by twisting the 2 ply metallic yarn around the 10 ply black acrylic yarn before knitting. The overall composition of the sample is 96.2% acrylic, 2.5% polyester, and 1.3% metallic knit fabric.
