Box 1199 Williston, VT 05495 RE: The tariff classification of a gutter flusher and cleaner from China Dear Ms. Ramsey: In your letter dated July 15, 2008 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample which you submitted is being retained by this office. The article in question is described as a multi-purpose gutter flusher and cleaner, item number 22930. The flusher and cleaner is an assembly comprised of two hand-operated water nozzles and an extension wand with fittings for connection to a water hose. The components are essentially made of plastic materials. The applicable subheading for the gutter flusher and cleaner will be 8481.80.5090, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances, hand operated, of other materials. The rate of duty will be 3 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
