Your sample will be returned as requested. Submitted sample, style #AZ8D8110, is a woman’s jacket constructed from 80% wool and 20% nylon woven fabric. The jacket extends from the shoulders to slightly below the waist and is composed of three panels. The jacket features a collar, short flaired sleeves with a decorative button trim, a full lining, a full front opening secured by one button at the neck and two pockets at the waist. In your letter you suggest a classification of subheading 6211.41.0061, HTSUS. The garment possesses sufficient features for classification as a jacket. The applicable subheading for the style AZ8D8110 will be 6211.41.0055, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for track suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments: other garments, women’s or girls’: of wool or fine animal hair: jackets and jacket-type garments excluded from heading 6202.
