Dear Ms. Jewett: In your letter dated June 26, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample you provided is being returned as you requested. You describe the submitted sample as a manicure set. It contains a nail clipper, small scissors, nail file, cuticle pusher/cleaner and a scooper. The items are made of stainless steel and are packaged in a fitted faux leather case. The applicable subheading for the manicure set will be 8214.20.9000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other articles of cutlery (for example, hair clippers, butchers' or kitchen cleavers, chopping or mincing knives, paper knives); manicure or pedicure sets and instruments (including nail files); base metal parts thereof: manicure or pedicure sets and instruments (including nail files), and parts thereof: manicure and pedicure sets, and combinations thereof: other.
