Product description
The products to be imported are galvanized steel studs. Made from flat-rolled steel which has been cold-pressed (or sent through a die) into a C-shape, these pieces are used in the construction of modular homes taking the place of the traditional wooden 2X4. These studs are available in lengths of 8, 9 or 10 feet and may be imported with or without holes punched.

Dear Mr. Jonkers: In your letter dated June 12, 2008 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The products to be imported are galvanized steel studs. Made from flat-rolled steel which has been cold-pressed (or sent through a die) into a C-shape, these pieces are used in the construction of modular homes taking the place of the traditional wooden 2X4. These studs are available in lengths of 8, 9 or 10 feet and may be imported with or without holes punched.
