Product description
The sample will be returned to you as you requested. The sample consists of a set of two flat circular trivets, one 7 ¾” in diameter and the other 5 ¾” in diameter. The trivets are made of 5/8” thick edge-glued wood. The top surface of each has two concentric circular grooves into which stainless steel rings are permanently fixed. The trivets are made of 90% wood and 10% steel. The essential character of the trivets is imparted by the wood.

A sample of the product to be classified, a two-pack wooden and stainless steel trivet set, Model SWT-2PK, was submitted. The sample will be returned to you as you requested. The sample consists of a set of two flat circular trivets, one 7 ¾” in diameter and the other 5 ¾” in diameter. The trivets are made of 5/8” thick edge-glued wood. The top surface of each has two concentric circular grooves into which stainless steel rings are permanently fixed. The trivets are made of 90% wood and 10% steel. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
