The subject product, Amisulpride, a selective dopamine antagonist is in phase II clinical trials to determine its safety and efficacy as a treatment for psychoses and schizophrenia. The applicable subheading for the Amisulpride in bulk powder form will be 2933.99.6100, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Heterocyclic compounds with nitrogen hetero-atom(s) only (con.): Other: Other: Aromatic or modified aromatic: Other: Drugs: Antidepressants, tranquilizers and other psychotherapeutic agents: Other.” Pursuant to General Note 13, HTS, the rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
