The item you plan to import is described as a spring-operated motor. You indicate this motor is used in chart recorders. The motor uses the energy produced by the release of a wound-up spring to operate a chart recorder. The applicable subheading for the spring-operated motor will be 8412.80.1000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for spring-operated and weight-operated motors. The rate of duty is free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
