Dear Mr. Maher: In your letter dated October 22, 2007, on behalf of The Children’s Place, you requested a classification ruling. As requested, the sample will be returned to you. Your submitted sample, style U3634M0001 is a girl’s top of 100% cotton knit fabric. The garment features a double spaghetti strap top, empire waist, finished bottom and straight across back. The garment reaches the waist and has glued on sequins in a random pattern on the top of the bodice. The applicable subheading for style U3634M0001 will be 6114.20.0010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other garments, knitted or crocheted: of cotton: tops, women’s or girls’. The duty rate will be 10.8 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
