The samples which you submitted are being returned as requested. The item concerned is a lighted plastic heart. It measures approximately 3 inches in length by 3 inches in width. On the back of the heart is an enclosed battery compartment with an on/off switch. The heart operates on 3 button cell batteries. Inside the heart is an LED light bulb. The heart lights up when turned on. The applicable subheading for the lighted plastic heart will be 8543.70.9650, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Electrical machines and apparatus…: Other machines and apparatus: Other: Other: Other: Other.” The rate of duty will be 2.6 percent. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
