The sample which you submitted is being retained by this office. You submitted a toe pad for a ballet slipper. It is made of knit pile lamb’s wool fabric and measures approximately 4” wide and 3” long, tapering to fit into the front of the shoe. The foot is placed inside the pad and then inserted into a ballerina pointe shoe. The applicable subheading for the toe pad will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
