The ruling was requested on paulownia wood panels to be used in making door cores. A representative sample was submitted, which will be returned to you as you requested. The panels consist of three laminated layers of edge-glued and finger-jointed paulownia lumber. The sample submitted measures approximately 1-7/8” thick x 5-3/4” wide. The outer layers are each approximately ½” thick, and the middle layer is approximately 13/16” thick. The surfaces of the panels are planed but not otherwise finished or worked. The edges and ends are square cut and not further worked.
