Dear Ms. Whitely: In your letter dated June 21, 2007, on behalf of Limited Too you requested a classification ruling. Your submitted sample, style 680017 is a girl’s top of knit 100% nylon mesh fabric. The garment features short sleeves, a full front opening with a hook and eye closure and hemmed edges. The garment does not reach the vicinity of the waist and has sewn on sequins in a random zig zag pattern. The applicable subheading for style 680017 will be 6114.30.1020, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other garments, knitted or crocheted: of man-made fibers: tops, women’s or girls’. The duty rate will be 28.2 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
