Dear Ms. Manguso: In your letter dated April 11, 2007 you requested a classification ruling. As requested, your samples are being returned to you. The submitted sample, style CW-7005, is a woman’s sleeveless vest that is constructed from 80% acrylic and 20% polyester finely knit faux fur pile fabric. The garment features a 100% polyester woven lining, a full front zippered opening, a mock-neck collar, two inset pockets at the waist, and a hemmed bottom. The applicable subheading for the vest will be 6110.30.3035, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of man-made fibers : other: other: other: other: Vests, other than sweater vests: women’s or girls’. The duty rate will be 32%. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
