The product 2,2,2-Trichloroacetamide (CAS RN 594-65-0) is to be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate and will be imported in bulk form. The applicable subheading for the 2,2,2 Trichloroacetamide will be 2924.19.8000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Acyclic amides (including acyclic carbamates) and their derivatives; salts thereof: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
