A representative sample was submitted and was sent to our Customs laboratory for analysis. The subject article, designated in your letter as style number 535731, is a clear glass bowl measuring approximately 7 ½” in diameter by 3 ½” in height by 3 ¼” in depth. Our Customs laboratory has determined that this article is composed of pressed and toughened (specially tempered) glass.       The applicable subheading for the glass bowl, style number 535731, will be 7013.39.1000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for glassware of a kind used for table (other than drinking glasses) or kitchen purposes, other than of glass-ceramics: other: pressed and toughened (specially tempered). The rate of duty will be 12.5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/.
