Product specifications and a sample were provided with your letter. The sample was examined and disposed of. Friendy MR is a yellow-colored liquid described as a noodle quality improver, imported in 18-kilogram cans. It is said to be composed of sorbitol, vegetable oil, lecithin, glycerol fatty acid esters, and ascorbyl palmitate. The applicable subheading for this product will be 2106.90.9998, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for food preparations not elsewhere specified or included…other…other…other. The rate of duty will be 6.4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
