Dear Mr. Chivini: In your letter dated June 23, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling for Perchlorocyclopentadiene which you have stated will be used as a pharma-ceutical intermediate and will be packaged in bulk form. The applicable subheading will be 2903.59.3000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for halogenated derivatives of cyclanic, cyclenic, or cycloterpenic hydrocarbons: other: other: chloronated, but not otherwise halogenated. The rate of duty will be 5.5 percent ad valorem.   Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
