Product description

The submitted sample, style 906, is a unisex bathrobe constructed from 50 percent polyester and 50 percent cotton woven fabric. The robe has a full front opening, attached self-fabric ties, long sleeves and one patch pocket below the waist. You have described this garment as “unisex”. Unisex garments are classified based on the requirements of Chapter 62, note 8, which states: Garments which cannot be identified as either men’s or boys’ garments or as women’s or girls’ garments are to be classified in the headings covering women’s or girls’ garments. The robe closes by means of a belt and can be closed in either a left-over right or right-over left direction. Since the robe cannot be identified as either a men’s or women’s garment, it is classified as a women’s garment under heading 6208. Garments which are claimed to be constructed from such a blend are subject, upon importation, to laboratory analysis by the U.S. Customs Service to verify the actual weight of the component fibers. Please be advised that a slight variation from the above stated fiber content may affect the classification and the textile category designation of the subject garment.
