Park Quiksilver Americas, Inc. 15202 Graham Street Huntington Beach, CA 92649 RE: The tariff classification of a keychain lanyard from Taiwan Dear Ms. Park: In your letter dated June 2, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is identified as a keychain lanyard (Style #864265PK), called “Scratch That.” You state that it is made of 100% nylon webbing and is screenprinted with the Quiksilver logo. It measures approximately 21” x 3/4”. A steel split wire ring is attached to the end of the lanyard by a removable plastic clasp. You indicate that the steel split wire ring may be easily removed from the rest of the lanyard without having to remove the lanyard from the neck. The applicable subheading for the keychain lanyard will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. The sample will be returned as requested. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
