Dear Mr. Krueger: In your letter dated April 13, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Cranium, Inc. The game is identified as “Sounds of the Seashore” and is described as a game activity using matching and memory skills. The game package includes a battery operated “seashell” audio player, an illustrated game mat, 13 picture cards and rules sheet. The sample will be returned at your request. The applicable subheading for the “Sounds of the Seashore” game will be 9504.90.9080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Articles for arcade, table or parlor games…Other: Other: Other, Other.” The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
