Dear Ms. Marcoux: In your letter, dated March 28, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The merchandise, item 54540, is a set of 6 mini spring clamps. Each clamp measures 2” in length, 1/8” in width, and ½” in height. The clamps are made of zinc-plated iron and have polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated handles. They are used for craft and workshop projects, small household repairs, the repair of picture frames and toys, and model construction.
