One Bowerman Drive Beaverton, OR 97005-6453 RE: The tariff classification of women’s knit jackets from China Dear Ms. Whiteis: In your letter dated February 27, 2006, you requested a classification ruling. Two samples of women’s knit jackets were submitted and will be returned as you have requested. Style 127211 is a jacket made of 80% cotton, 20% polyester finely knit fabric. The cut and sewn garment features long sleeves, a full front zippered opening with a zip through mock neck, front pockets and snugly fitting rib knit cuffs and waistband. Style 128182 is a jacket made of 80% cotton, 20% polyester finely knit fabric. The cut and sewn garment features long sleeves, a full front zippered opening, a hood, front pockets and snugly fitting rib knit cuffs and waistband. The applicable subheading for the jackets will be 6102.20.0010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for women’s or girls’ overcoats…windbreakers and similar articles, knitted or crocheted, other than those of heading 6104: Of cotton: Women’s. The duty rate will be 15.9% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
