Dear Mr. Resetar: In your letter dated November 10, 2005 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The item is a relay support frame. It is a molded plastic, grid-like part with open channels running from front to back. It does not contain any electrical contacts. The function of the Support Frame is to hold multiply relay carriers which snap into the frame. The function of the relay carrier is to make an electrical connection between a relay and a wiring harness. The applicable subheading for the relay support frames will be 8708.99.8080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUSA), which provides for Parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of headings 8701 to 8705: Other parts and accessories: Other: Other: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 2.5 percent. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
